Car history: |
350HP 350CI L46 Numbers matching HW VIN matching on block engine. Close ratio M21 4speed with 3.73 Posi rear axle (Factory on this car was 4.11). This Corvette has gone through a complete restoration about 5 years ago and driven about 600 miles since. The car was repainted the original Daytona Yellow and completed to a show quality. The paint is as smooth as glass and only has 2 very minor stress marks (see photos) on the front fenders. Other than that, I can see no scratches or chips in the paint. It is about as good as it gets. It has been driven so it is not perfect, but I would give it a 9.8 out of 10 in quality. The engine was rebuilt with a slight increase in cam specs from factory. Every area of this car has been rebuilt to new or better quality, rear end, 4-speed trans, complete front end rebuild and brakes. This Corvette was done right! It drives great, has the performance that it should and has no problems with clutch, shifting or noise. Steering is positive and brakes feel great. Car does not overheat. Just a great driving car! The interior is new with new seat covers and padding. The rest of the interior looks like new. Bumpers are show quality and new complete exhaust job a few years ago. Headers now installed. Please note: Every single part that has been taken off the car is included with the car. If the new owner wishes to go back to completely stock. I have the part. All the parts taken off are in great condition and look new. The car now has a Hurst shifter, but the original shifter is included. The car has a mint hard top with the vinyl covering and fits great. The glass is nice, in fact the whole car has good quality glass and I believe it is all original. The gauges and clock (converted to quartz movement) work, lights work great and all the fiber optic lights work. Basically, everything works as it should except the wipers do not work-the panel opens up but the wipers don't. There is no rust on the car and has always been a West coast car, sold new in Los angeles. I believe I am now the 4th owner. If you are looking for a 1969 Corvette with the optional 350 Horsepower motor in Yellow with extensive restoration complete, this is probably it! It is a true pleasure to drive and show. I have lots of receipts and a copy of the factory order sheet. It shows the following options: 1) Standard Trim, 2) 350-HP Turbo Jet, 3) Posi-traction axle, 4) 4-speed close ratio trans (not sure if original, # on the trans is 3925660, tag 3946798), 5) Aux hardtop, 6) AM/FM Radio, 7) Soft-ray glass, 8) Power brakes 9)Power steering. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is G01. 44,515 miles from the odometer. Code on the motor pad says HW. $25,000. February23, 2014. |
